How Outsourcing Helps You Grow Your Internet Marketing Business?
General, Building Internet Marketing Business Add comments
Its been awhile since I last posted but I’m finally back. I’ve been busy setting up my internet marketing company as well as hiring some full time virtual employees. It took me awhile to actually pluck up the courage to hire my first employee. but I decided to take the plunge. Hiring your first full time employee is pretty much a chicken and egg situation. You’re just starting up so you don’t have sufficient capital but on the other hand, how are you going to grow your company without your first employee? It is of course possible to do it all on your own when you’re starting up but at the expense of 20 hour work weeks and severe undereye circles…yes I was a victim of those dreaded dark eye circles aka panda eyes!!
What made me take the plunge? First and foremost…I was overwhelmed with work. Although I was super focused on only two areas i.e PPC affiliate marketing and ebay I spent most of my time growing my PPC affiliate marketing business and ignored ebay altogether. My ebay ebook business is small but with a huge potential for growth. I just didn’t have the time to work on it.
Thats when I decided to hire my first full time virtual employee who works for me on a full time basis out of the Phillipines. He helps me design my ebay listings, banners/graphics for landing pages and a little bit of article writing. Initially I had to train him but it didn’t take long and now I’m able to double the amount of work done. Its like having two me’s…
A mistake I made though was not planning things out in advanced. If I could do it again I’d first plan out the exact tasks I’d like my employee to work on along with a work schedule e.g Mon - task 1, Tue - task 3 etc. So up till about the 2nd week things were pretty haphazard without any proper structure. Things aren’t perfect now but they’re pretty much picking up. I’m glad I took the plunge and although I haven’t done a proper cost analysis I’m pretty sure my first full time employee has paid for himself many times over.
