I took a break over the weekend and although I do admit to checking my sales now and again I didn’t work on any of my campaigns. I decided to take some time off as I was feeling a little burnt out! Two days seemed time out enough. I then decided to revive one of my campaigns. I had given up on that campaign cuz it was just too competitive. $1 per click to be on the first page. During my little time out it came to me that these markets MUST be profitable else there just wouldn’t be other affiliates in the playing field.
I was determined to give it another go and make it work. This time I was armed with my new Wordtracker subscription and Keyword Elite software. I put up about 10 ad groups and went to bed. I priced all the keywords at $0.7. Woke up to find only 20 clicks!! You can imagine my disappointment. Despite all that effort only 20 clicks? Upon further inspection I found out that my CPC was just too low. My ad positions were on the second page and CTR was horrible and below 1%.
I then increased my CPC to $1.50 and let it rip. In a couple of hours my ad position had risen to the first page and average CTR close to 2%. Not too bad! The only problem was my high CPC. I realized that before I would get cold feet as soon as the costs starting exceeding the sales and would immediately lower my CPC. This time I just let it run. My strategy is too start off with a high CPC and let a good quality score slowly reduce my CPC whilst maintaining the ad positioning. This unfortunately takes some time….but definitely worth it in the end (I think!).
Anyway the campaign has been running for 2 days. Made 1 sale and running at a loss of $30. I’ll let it run for a few more days and by then I should be able to lower my CPC and still maintain my 1st page position. I have a good feeling about this…will let you know how it goes..
If all goes according to plan than its obvious that the way to profit in competitive markets is to start high then slowly let a good quality score reduce your ad costs…fingers crossed!

I think you should find profitable keywords.
Just use function no 5 in keyword elite to spy competitor keywords than you can try those keyword. Give a try.
I prefer promoting CPA offers like Azoogleads rather than clickbank cause CPA is slightly easy than clickbank. Pay per lead is more easy than pay per sale.
Hope you can try CPA offers.
