I mentioned in my last few posts that I purchased a PHP script to help track my keyword conversions. The PHP script that I purchased is called Xtreme Conversions. Although there isn’t quite enough info provided on the features on the Rich Jerk Xray Domination software it seems as though keyword conversion tracking is definitely included. The Xray Domination package includes a whole set of videos and reports and is pretty much a full course on PPC affiliate marketing (also very expensive at $997)
If you’re just looking for a software that tracks keyword conversions without requiring merchant involvement then Xtreme Conversions will do the trick. Its the only software I’ve come across that pretty much tracks keyword conversions with minimal effort. If you wanted to track each keyword, you can either rely on Google’s conversion tracking which I’ve found to be highly inaccurate or you can use the Clickbank TID and manually tag each keyword with a unique ID. Xtreme Conversions basically automates the process of tagging each keyword with a Clickbank TID with the use of a PHP script. It also provides a reporting feature that allows you to look up the TID and corresponding keyword that brought in the sale.
Unlike Google’s conversion tracking that shows you conversion of the broad, phrase and exact keyword, Xtreme Conversions actually provides you with the actual keyword that was searched on. For example if you have a broad keyword ‘make money online’. Using Google conversion tracking you’d be able to determine that the broad keyword ‘make money online’ brought in a sale. With Xtreme Conversions you can determine the exact keyword that was searched on. E.g how to make money online. You can then create that exact keyword and insert that into your ad group. Really powerful stuff.
My only gripe with the software is that it doesn’t work with cloaking so you can’t cloak your links. But Amir (the author is very responsive in his support forum and mentioned that this might be implemented in the future. If you’re struggling with getting merchant’s to install your google conversion code or find Google’s tracking inaccurate then I highly recommend Xtreme Conversions. Knowing which under performing keywords to dump makes all the difference between a profitable campaign and a losing one.

Hi,
I was just wondering if you could answer this question for me related to RJ’s xray softare and xtreme conversions.
Basically, will either or both or none of these 2 programs be able to trace, for example, my google adwords ad pointing to a specific product page on amazon (ie advertising amazon products). If yes, is that a difficult process?
Also, can i use xtreme conversions to track clickbank products that i am promoting without having to contact the merchant?
Many thanks,
Really appreciate it.
Alex

Hey Alex,
To answer your last question first, yes you can use xtreme conversions to track clickbank products without having to contact the merchant. The script relies on the Clickbank tracking id’s and therefore requires no intervention from the vendor.
Not quite sure what you mean by tracing google ads to a specific product page on amazon. If you are referring to tracking which google ad made the sale then yes xtreme conversions will do that. but only for Clickbank products. Will not work with any other networks such as Amazon or CJ.

Just stumbled on your blog, definitely an interesting read. Came across a nice web application that does keyword conversion tracking http://hlola.com . Been using it the last few days and works very nicely. Abit expensive but worth the monthly fee.
